The Oklahoma Cemeteries Association was established in 1948 to foster greater communication and cooperation between Oklahoma cemeteries and the general public. The Oklahoma Cemeteries Association continually strives to meet the following objectives:
|
OCA exists to serve and support its members in conjunction with government agencies, consumer groups, and veteran's groups. OCA represents many members throughout Oklahoma. Its members consist of non-profit, religious, privately-owned, and municipal cemeteries. In addition, the majority of OCA members have chosen to establish perpetual care funds. The income of these funds help provide future revenue to assist in providing ongoing maintenance of these cemeteries. The Oklahoma Cemeteries Association monitors legislative and regulatory issues relating to public health and safety, as well as financial institutions. Legislative and Constituent Support - The Oklahoma Cemeteries Association can assist with any cemetery related matter including resolution of questions or issues raised by constituents. Inquiries can be forwarded to OCA's officers. The Oklahoma Cemeteries Association strives to serve the public on every way possible. It is our belief that the memories of past generations and of those generations to come shall be preserved with the honor and dignity deserved by all citizens of our great state. |
